Guess whose back?!

Hello lovers!!!
Sorry for the hiatus, I promise I am back. Since my last two day Ulta shopping spree I have not been getting any new products, hence the absence. Anywho fall is my favorite of the seasons so I have tons of stuff planned. A few hauls, a couple crafts and the usual awesomeness you all know and love.  Be back soon.

What's In My Bag?

I am pretty sure we have all seen when celebrities empty out their purses for magazine articles. Not gonna lie, I have always wanted to do that so now I am. Now I carry around different purses for different things, I have a separate bag for work at the flower store, babysitting, shopping and going out. This one is just my general work bag right now. I was using a different one, but I broke it and haven't fixed it yet so for now it works.

Yes my bag is glitter gold, don't act like you are surprised. I love this bag because it is so big and fits everything in it that I will need. I am what one would call over prepared so I carry a lot of crap that I think it will need, and surprisingly sometimes I do use them. Anywho, the bag I use is huge! I got it from Bath and Body Works about a year ago during a sale promotion and it had Twilight Woods products in it. The vinyl exterior is a dream, I never have to worry about it getting dirty since I can just wipe it clean and when I get caught in the rain I don't have to worry about it getting ruined. Also it allows me to have a glittery bag without glitter getting everywhere. It is well made and can fit tons of stuff in it. I also use it as an overnight bag when I stay over places after parties.

1)Hand Lotion
At the flower store I am constantly getting my hands wet and raw so having a lotion with me is a life saver. Plus I just like to smell nice so I am constantly applying lotion. Travel sized from Bath and Body Works are clutch and always in every one of my purses.

2)Pens/Pencils
I carry more than I probably will ever need, but hey better to be safe than sorry.

3)Compact Mirror
You never know when you need to check to see if you have something on your face, I picked up a punch of cute compacts at Michaels for around $2. They are big enough to have a good sized mirror, and slim enough to throw in a clutch.

4)Emergen C
Again, I get sick a lot so I want something to combat it on hand. Also I read that this little bad boy helps with hangovers and when I am crashing at a friends house after a party I want this with me.

5)Protein Bar
At work things can get hectic and a lunch break isn't a first priority so I carry around these Special K

Water bottle
I drink tons of water so I always have a water bottle on me. Most of the time I have a 64 oz Nalgene bottle, which I have two of, because they leak proof and just easy to carry around. The only problem I have is that they are too big for my cup holders in my car so I can't drink from them while I am stuck in traffic or driving.

Lip balms/chapsticks
I am slightly obsessed with keeping my lips in great shape so generally I have at least two types of balms on me at all times. Now these are just the ones I keep in my purse, if you look in all my jacket pockets, you will find at least one in each jacket. Moisture is key for me so brand wise I will use anything as long as it gets the job done. I love blistex products, they have always done the job for me and they give a little hint of shine. At first I wasn't a fan of eos, but I have finally found a flavor that works for me.

Hand Sanitizer
My immune system has to be the worse immune system ever for someone who has never been diagnosed with a disease or sickness that would affect it. Ever since I was little I have always been susceptible to other people's colds and such. One year I was sick every other week, it sucked. This is why I carry around hand sanitizer. Thank goodness for Bath and Body Works for having these travel sized hand sanitzers and these little key chain holders. They are great because I don’t need to go digging in my bag because it is hanging right there on the handle.

Umbrella
Yes I carry around an umbrella all the time. After going to a school with a giant campus, I realized I would rather have an umbrella with me every day it is supposed to be sunny than no umbrella when it is pouring. Of course my umbrella is polka dotted, if I ever carry around a plan one, please have my head checked out. I got this from Target for less then $10 so it is great just to have one in your bag or car.

Sunglasses/Sunglass Case
You already know I constantly wear sunglasses so it makes sense they would be in my purse. I didn't have a hard case for awhile, but then I found this one at Michaels for $2 and it fits most of my sunglasses in. I wanted a hard case because clearly I carry around a lot of stuff and I don't want my sunglasses getting crushed.

Sunscreen
It is summer, this is a no brainer. This is the same sunscreen I listed in my June Favorites, you should try it, it is great. I got it at Target with a coupon and it came with a free Neutrogena Naturals chapstick so yay for free stuff!

Bright Wallet
I actually have a few wallets and I try to switch them out often just so they don't get worn out so easily and just because I have a sort attention span. This one is my favorite I got in high school. I just love the colors on it and it could be a clutch if I so wanted. I like that it is thinner so I don’t carry around too many cards or cash and it doesn't take up a lot of space.

iPod
I never drive without music on, it calms me and stops me from swearing at people while driving. I have a cassette player converter so I can play it. I am a rare breed of person that I only have music on my ipod. This could be because it is a generation 1 touch so nothing is compatible with it besides music. Anywho, this thing is great for when there is only repeats on the radio or I am just in the mood for something different.

Body Spray
I like to smell nice all the time. Sometimes at work i will get all gross and covered in flower junk, so just a little spray can make me feel better and a little more alive. The spray I have in my purse is "Hello Darling" by Victoria's Secret.

There it is, all the stuff I carry around in my purse on a daily basis. Depending on where I am going I could carry around more or less than this. Thanks for reading dolls!

June Favorites

With the end of June, I bring you my favorites, from beauty products to favorite items I wore. I didn't do too many because this is my first time doing this so I am still working out the kinks and such.

Favorite nail polish: Maybelline Lust for Lilac
I love this color! I usually rock dark colors all year, but there is just something about this color that makes me want to love it forever. It is just so girly and reminds me of barbie. I rarely have the same color on my nails and toenails, but I constantly wear this color on both. Even though it is super light and bright, I feel like it could be worn for every season. I would say it is an essential summer color.

Hair Product: Healthy Sexy Hair Leave in Conditioner
As much as I love my hair, I beat the crap out of it. I am constantly curling it, dying it, braiding it, exposing it to the sun, all bad things, so I thought I would show it some love with a product that would put the good stuff back in. Now I would never spend $19.99 on one product alone because I am cheap and go through product fast, but this was on sale at Ulta awhile back for $9.99 so heck yes I got it. I am almost out of it, so if anyone knows when it will be on sale pleaseeee let me know. Just a few sprays of this stuff does the job. I use it after I get out of the shower for a little extra softness. Using it with my Knotty to Nice detangler is like a little party for my hair. My hair felt better after I used it, and it looked great whether I blow dried it or just let it air dry.

Summer Stand Out: Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen SPF 30
Once the weather gets above 70, watering at the flower store becomes a job in its own. When it gets over 80 it has to be watered twice in one shift. In order to properly water all the plants, I spend a minimum 1 1/2 hours sometimes 2. This means that I could spend 4 hours outside watering so having sunscreen with me is a must. I love this brand because it doesn't make me break out and it really is dry. Nothing grosses me out more than putting on sunscreen and having a film of grease on me for the rest of the day. This stuff can literally be sprayed on and within seconds it is dry. I don't leave the house unless I have this stuff in my purse. I would be a lobster all summer without it.

Gilette Satin Care Shave Gel With a Touch of Olay
I usually don't use a shave gel, I just use body wash, but I had a coupon and boy has it made a difference. I notice that I am able to get a closer shave and it moisturizers my legs which is a plus. Usually after I shave my legs they get super irritated and dry and uncomfortable. Using the shave gel has cut down on that so I spend less time covering my legs in lotion just so I can sleep without my legs being itchy. Plus the scent is amazing, it has just the right amount of fragrance to give you a little something, something without competing with your body wash.

Pink Glittery Tumbler
I am green as much as I can be so one way I do that is by using reusable
tumblers. They make it so convenient for me to bring iced coffee with me when I go to work or anywhere else I go. I love that it is sparkly and gives me a little pick me up. I have them in 3 different colors but the pink one was my go to for June. I got them from the dollar spot at Target for $2.50, talk about a deal! I just love that I could put coffee in it, water, juice, anything to cool me down during the hot summer. And for how little I paid for them, it is not the end of the world if I lose it.

Gold Aviators
I have a sickening amount of sunglasses, if I try a pair on and they look good, I buy them. That being said the most expensive pair I have were $15 and those are my UMASS ones so they hold a special place in my heart. I have all different shapes, colors, tints and patterns. For me, sunglasses are essential every day all year since I am so pale and have light eyes. I think long term and wearing sunglasses now is gonna stop crows feet for a few years. For the most part my accessories are usually silver, but I have been expanding into the gold and realized it does go with my skin tone. I love these glasses because they go with everything and they have just the right amount of bling. In my head aviators look great on everyone so if you don't have any, go out and get some.

Random Item: Batman Sweatpants
Don't give me that look, I love me some Batman. I am not a huge sweatpants person, I can honestly say I never once wore sweatpants or yoga pants to class while I was at school. I can count on one hand who has seen me in sweatpants, that being said I love these! They are so comfy I wear them around the house as soon as I get home from work. The best part is they are thin so I can still wear them in the summer without dying. I found these at Target in the men's section, yes the men section, sometimes I need to wear something that is comfy and doesn’t cling to my booty like yoga pants. My dad and my sister made fun of me for these but who cares they are great!

There you have it, my top favorites for June. I am sure there are more products I used a lot in June, but these were the standouts for me. Let me know if you all have tried any of these for have something for me to try in July! Kisses!

Ulta/ NYX Haul Part 2

Yes I went back to Ulta, no I do not want to talk about the compulsive shopping that I clearly have.  This time I am just gonna go over what I got and not so much about prices. The sale was still the same, still tons of options and I was satisfied with my purchases. That being said, I am done with the makeup shopping for awhile I do not need anything else….unless it is an awesome deal.

Chunky Dunk Hydrating Lippie in Caramel Martini           cdhl09
I was only able to find one more Chunky Dunk in the clearance section so I scooped it up. It looks a lot darker than it actually is. On the site it is described as "caramel" which is spot on.  The packaging is much darker than caramel, but when swatched it is caramel. Good color for fall, and could be a nude if applied lightly.

Xtreme Shine Lip Cream in Dolly Girl       xl01
NYX has every kind of gloss, cream, or lipstick a girl could ever ask for. This is my first xtreme shine so of course I got the brightest one the had. "Bright fuschia" and yes it is that. I am seriously putting it on my lips for the first time as I write this. It has a different feel than the other glosses from them. The formula is thicker and much more pigmented. I did one swipe for both lips and I got the exact color. A lip liner is a must with this, I feel like it could easily run just because it is so pigmented. There is a heavier feel than the other glosses, I almost feel like when I first put on a lip stain. I like it though, there is no glitter or shimmer in it at all, its pure shine.

Matte Finish Setting Spray           mss01
This is a repurchase because I love it so much! I bought my first one right before Valentines Day, I knew I would need it at the flower store and it worked wonders. Valentines Day is hell at a flower store and I wanted to look awake and not like I wanted to punch people. This helped my makeup stay looking good, and I love anything matte. I highly recommend this stuff if you want to try a setting spray.

Illuminator in Ritualisitc      ibb04
Highlighters are all over the place these days. It is hard to find a makeup brand that doesn't have a highlighter in their lines. I have other brands of highlighters and this would have to be my favorite. The power is super fine and silky so it looks great anywhere you put it. The website says "gold sheen" but it isn't an overwhelming gold, subtle sheen for sure.

Butter Lip Balm In Biscotti      blb06
Like everything else in the butter line, the balm is amazing. I would say that it is the matte product in the line. It is a balm, but it doesn’t have a shine to it so I like to think of it as the matte version of the colors in the butter line. I have three other of these and they are perfect for when I want a little color, but not something high maintenance like a gloss or lipstick. For me, these are perfect for work because I get a little color but don't have to worry about reapplying in a mirror or anything. This color is "nude with slight pink undertones" and that is dead on. It isn't a bold color, but I like it. If you need color, but don't want the hassle of a gloss or lipstick, I highly recommend the butter lip balms.

Soft Matte Lip Cream in Athens        smlc15
The soft matte lip creams might be my favorite matte lip product out there. There is a large variety of colors and the texture is to die for. It feels like you are putting whipped frosting on your lips. It is just so soft you just wanna slather it all on. I have a bunch of colors of these (duh) but I didn't have a nude one that I loved, so when I saw this one I was like yep gotta have it. It is a "matte peach beige" and it is the perfect nude for me.

Soft Matte Lip Cream in Addis Ababa          smlc07
Finally I found it! I have been looking for this color forever and everywhere I looked had ones that had clearly been used. When I went to Ulta and saw this in the display I crossed my fingers and checked the one in the back and found it to be brand new. I may or may not have done a little dance out of joy. I have been lusting after this color since the line came out and can't wait to wear this out. It is "bright fuschia" so basically it is the matte version of "dolly girl" xtreme shine gloss. Clearly I like bright colors, but that’s whatever.

The Natural Shadow Palette     tns01
Another thing crossed off my wish list! Now I secretly dream of owning the Urban Decay Naked Palettes, but at $54 a pop it will always be a dream, so for now cheap dupes are my life. I will say I got this for less than $5 so hell yeah I got it. It has six "nude" colors, 4 matte, 1 glitter, and 1 shimmer. This will be perfect for when I want to wear eye shadow, but nothing too intense.

Butter Gloss in Cupcake            blg18
I will never have enough butter glosses until I have the whole line, they are just that good. I have pale skin and even the darkest colors they have work for me. Shocker, this color is fairly bright. "Hot pink" yes hot pink and I love it. Perfect summer color and a great pop of color for any look. I think I will be doing a giant swatch of all nyx products so everyone can see the different shades and how they look on lips with and without primer.

Matte Lipstick in Street Cred                      mls24
I am all about options so when there is a sale I stock up. This is a "raspberry pink" and it is adorable. It is bright enough for summer, but will look great for other seasons. While I love my gloss and shine, there is something so perfect about a matte color. It can be both casual and formal. I love that it allows me to wear a bright color without being too over the top.

Matte Bronzer in Light          mbb01
I am always on the market for a great bronzer. My hair is naturally blonde and dye it dark brown so I use bronzer every day just so I am not too washed out. Personally, I am not a fan of shimmer bronzers for my face just because I have acne and acne scars so it does not look cute on me so I am all about the matte bronzers. The powder is super fine and soft and the color is not orange so thank goodness for that. Can't wait to try it out!

Not Your Mother's Brand Knotty to Nice Detangler and Lock Luster Oil Treatment
Now these are both repurchases and I will keep buying these until they stop making them, and then I will cry after that. These two are my go to hair products and I use them both almost every day. I have reviewed the detangler already and I will continue to use it. It works wonders on my hair and for $5.99 I will gladly buy it as often as possible. The oil treatment has been a lifesaver for me. I have long, color treated hair that gets dry on the bottom and greasy at the top. A quarter size amount works for me and just leaves my hair feeling smooth, soft, and healthy. A little goes a long way with this product, I bought my first bottle over a year ago and there is still a good amount left I just wanted to get some because it was buy one get one 50% off.

There you go, my last Ulta haul for awhile. I hope everyone takes advantages of the sales they have going on and let me know what you get! If anyone sees anything I like feel free to buy it for me, kidding, kinda. Until next time.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July dolls!!! I hope everyone has a great day and weekend. Remember, while it is fun to celebrate it is also important to be safe. Don't drink and drive, if you have to think about if you are okay to drive, stay where ever you are and drink lots of water. It is always better to be safe than sorry.  That being said I just wanted to make a post with 4th of July inspiration.

Alsoooooo, NYX is having 40% off sitewide sale! Now I am not participating because I got bills that I actually have to pay, but it was too good not to tell you all. It is for today only so jump on that. And if you sign up for emails before you buy anything they send you a 25% off your first purchase on top of any sales they have. Definitely do that and you will get tons of product for barely anything. If you spend $25 you get free shipping, and with the 40% off site and if you use 25% your first purchase you will get such a good deal on everything and you will find it hard to get to the $25 for free shipping. If anyone gets anything let me know, I would love to see what people got.

Have a great 4th everyone! Love you dolls!
