Well this was my creepy drive to work this morning. A quiet Sunday morning with barely anyone else on the road was made much creepier by this thick fog. These pictures were taken at stop signs a few streets over and that is when I made the wise decision to take the back roads and not the highway to work.
Right when I was about to leave North Andover and make my way to the store my dad called me, I pulled over a little bit and snapped some more pictures. It was just so eerie, actually in these pictures there were about 4 cars on the other side. The amazing thing was how many people did not have their lights on. The fog was not thick enough to distort the light for the driver, but to warn people on the road that there were people ahead. Plus it is comforting being able to see the lights of the car in front of you so that you know you have not slipped into a horror movie. I am just grateful I made the rare good judgement call oh not going on the highway because I would have been going 5 mph the whole time. Luckily the day cleared up and I had over 3,000 flowers to clean and fit into a cooler today.
This is the cooler that I filled to the brim today with some great looking flowers. Now it may not look like much but there are 3 shelves in there and boy did I stuff that bad boy. Usually when I clean the flowers and replace water in buckets while doing inventory of all the flowers it roughly takes me 2-3 hours while I wait on customers as well. Today it took me over 5 hours!!!! I do not slack when it comes to this so I was more than shocked when it took me almost my whole shift to complete it. I was starting to think that my co-worker had been hiding flowers and bringing them out when I was not looking. Even though it took me forever, and I was sore and dirty, that cooler looked damn good. When the cooler looks good, flowers sell and that is the main goal so job well done in my book.
The great thing was the wonderful weather I came home to. Will you look at those clouds! They look like someone painted them there. And that blue of the sky, I swear if I did not get third degree burns every time I sat in the sun I would be out there all day. Knock New England's ever changing weather all you want, it keeps me on my toes and I like it. Hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday!
